Trim, Reorder and Create Clips
Shorten clips, rearrange the video sequence, and add new photo clips from the editor.
Trim and reorder
Find trim and reorder controls directly in the timeline. Drag clip edges to shorten a clip, or drag clips into a new order when the listing story needs a better sequence.
Trimming removes dead time at the beginning or end of a shot. Reordering helps the video flow like a guided tour instead of a random set of clips.
Create new clips from media
Use the Media button when you want to create a new clip after the video is already in the editor.
The workflow is: click Media in the editor tool rail, open the Media panel, upload or import photos, then select the photos you want to insert into the timeline as new source clips.
After a photo is inserted, click that photo clip in the timeline to open the Photo Settings panel. Use Camera Motion to generate a new animated clip from the still photo. When the generated clip is ready, it replaces the inserted photo clip in the timeline. Save the editor changes after the replacement appears.
- 1. Click Media in the editor tool rail.
- 2. Use the Media panel to upload, import, and select photos.
- 3. Insert the selected photo as a new source clip in the timeline.
- 4. Click an inserted photo clip in the timeline.
- 5. Open Photo Settings and choose Camera Motion.
- 6. Wait for the generated Camera Motion clip to replace the inserted photo.
- 7. Save changes.
